The Rains of Castamere
When the Reynes rose in defiance of Casterly Rock, Tywin Lannister marched upon them, drove them down into their mines, and turned the waters of a stream into the tunnels. Every man, woman, and child of House Reyne perished in the dark, and the red lion was extinguished forever.
The Silent Halls
No lord has held Castamere since. Its drowned galleries lie flooded and sealed beneath the hills, and the empty keep above stands open to the sky. Singers keep its memory alive in a song that western lords play when they wish defiance to remember its price.
